theres a new jack black film called 'be kind rewind', just thought i might have some referance
"Be kind + Rewind" is what video rental stores put in VHS tapes to remind people to rewind it for the next person after watching the programme. This probably has nothing to do with a Jack Black film.
I think the first two lines might be refering to how in this society, everything is very rushed.
I first thought this might be about Alzheimer's but I think it's really about being a dreamer. Always wanting to go out and explore, but the dreams are unrealistic and the singer would prefer to be reminded that his things aren't always so great before he goes out and is disappointed by what he finds.
At first observation, it seems like he is saying that he wanted to fulfill his life in an exciting way; he opts out of the adventurous and exciting lifestyle to start a family,"just one is good for me" he still wishes he could do both.
