Epic: A Chorus of Obliteration Lyrics

Silent, grimly faced we march them down
Calls from above, behind these walls the cowards hide
This city, this land, a promise we have come to claim
Stretched for miles through barren land to conquer Jericho

Loose your voice and split the sky
Draw your swords the hour is nigh
We sing as one tonight, we sing as one

We march to war, clothed in dust and fear we ride
Host of the Lord about us on our every side
The fruits of this land, a promise we have come to claim
We sing as one the trumpets sound your walls of dust
Now meet the ground

This song is about a time in the Old Testament during the 40 years the Israelites were sent to wander in the desert. they were on their way to the promised land and the walled city of JEricho stood in their way. The people of Jericho wouldn't let them pass so the Lord told them to march around the city and blow trumpets and sing. When they did this, the walls crumbled and the Israelites could go on their way.

This song makes references to this incident of God's strength and it sounds pretty good.
