Rock Boys Lyrics
Rock, rock, rock said the boys on top and
How’d you miss them?
How’d you miss them?
Rock, rock, rock said the boys on top and
How’d you miss them?
How’d you miss them?
Nothin’. Nothin’ – yee-ah!
Nothin’. Nothin’ – yee-ah!
Home! Home! Oh! Wa-oh, nothin’ for you!
Yeah! Oh yeah! Wa-oh, nothin’ for you!
Yeah-eeah! Wa-oh, nothin’ for you!
Yeah-eeah! Wa-oh, nothin’ for you!
Rock, rock, rock said the boys on top and
How’d you miss them?
How did you miss them?
How’d you miss them?
How’d you miss them?
Rock, rock, rock said the boys on top and
How’d you miss them?
How’d you miss them?
Nothin’. Nothin’ – yee-ah!
Home! Home! Oh! Wa-oh, nothin’ for you!
Yeah! Oh yeah! Wa-oh, nothin’ for you!
Yeah-eeah! Wa-oh, nothin’ for you!
Yeah-eeah! Wa-oh, nothin’ for you!
How’d you miss them?
How did you miss them?

I always thought it was "rock set boys on top" as in how men always dominate the rock industry. Hmm.
Man, I have nooo idea what this song means! Its really cool though. I love these guys so much!!! Thier music just maeks me wanna jump around like crazy :D
I guess this would be a simple song about home... I mean, the Grates are famous now, and maybe Patience felt homsick when she wrote this.
personally i think it's about groupies falling in love with their rock boys...band members in other words.
i don't really know what it means, but its super cool!
yeah, im not too sure what this means, but its by far one of the best grates songs ive ever heard!
I think it's about a girl whose run away from home and hooks up with troublemakers (the rock boys), but they just want sex and excitement (the boys are on top and all they have to say is 'rock').
So she runs away again (?) because she is feeling nostalgic about home. While she's going home, she feels regret about leaving the rock boys, but then thinks to how bad they were: 'how could I have missed them (the rock boys) at all'
So that's my take on it.
I, too, interpret this song as making a statement about the male dominance in our music industry, but it could be open to a wide range of readings, as many of the above comments have pointed out. Patience's voice on this song is simply gorgeous, and it must be one of my favourites off this album.
