Whiskeys Dead Youre Next Lyrics
have you told her son about the alcohol and medicine
or the wasted days while friendships frayed
where you could barley carry your weight
flip the lights down or pretend you’re not alone
and spill the secrets
you bought and sold for rock and roll dreams
have you told her son how you up and leave all your loved ones
how all the lies slip past your tongue
you choke them down like smoke in your lungs
or the wasted days while friendships frayed
where you could barley carry your weight
flip the lights down or pretend you’re not alone
and spill the secrets
you bought and sold for rock and roll dreams
have you told her son how you up and leave all your loved ones
how all the lies slip past your tongue
you choke them down like smoke in your lungs

This song is about a break up, deffinetly. I always think this two people had a high school romance. And one of them broke up with the other to pursue dreams as a singer. And he / she hasnt told their families now about the good times when they were young when they drank and how they would juts waste days hanging out.
I dont know. Thats just what i think about when I hear this song. But, this song is beautiful. I love the forecast so much.
I feel this song is more of a guilt trip. The thoughts possibly in the back of a man's mind who gave up everything (e.g. his gal and son) to pursue a rock star career. "Have you told her son" is almost reflecting on how he gave them up. He's not your son anymore because you bought and sold your loved ones for this dream of yours. The title may even mean the games are over, now it's time to own up to your ill decisions. The Forecast is a real rock band, in its own right. I love them too
