B Quiet Lyrics

Be quiet
The voices said from the bedroom
Where I was dead
And I loved you, you never had to say
Like the movies we'll never make
And the soundtracks we'll never play
And I loved you, you never had to say
So be quiet

When you cry
Do you close your eyes?
'Cause my heart is breaking
And you are still faking
A feeling that you will never know

Be quiet
Don't make a sound
With the footsteps that touch the ground
Which were crushing the leaves of my remorse
Like a sad song
This lullaby whispers, sleeping
And sweet goodnight
And I loved you, you never had to say
The voices say
So be quiet

What say you to the revolution?
What it is to kiss and tell
Everybody is re-evolutionizing the world
Over my head
Everybody's imitating, for the ratings
For the sake of the human race, and I can't keep up

I think "the revolution" refers to the saying that love is the revolution. and when it says "Everybody is re-evolutionizing the world" is that people are twisting what love truly is.

he loves her. she only pretends to love him. he asks if she feels the same as him (which is DEEP)... and i have NO clue of what the "what say you to the revolution" part means

Maybe the "revolution" part has to do with everyone that he knows only pretends to be in love and they do it just to make others happy (for the sake of the human race). He can't keep up because he knows what it is like to actually be in love, and he just doesn't see why people are continuing to imitate their feelings.

Maybe.

He loves her, she doesn't feel the same as he does. He's sort of angry, saying she'll never feel what it's like to truly love someone. 'when you cry do you close your eyes?' It seems that she would be faking crying too. 'like a sad song, this lullaby whispers. sleeping and sweet goodnight.' The relationship is ending? The revolution is how no one seems to truly love. Everyone just wants to brag to their friends about how many people they had sex with or kissed or went on a date with. Everyone acts the same, marrying/dating without feeling love. You know, in society, how many divorces there are. Re-evolutionizing the world.. we've come a long way. Back then, people were arranged marriages, didn't love. Next, people did love each other in marriages, and now people have seemed to stop loving, and just marrying whoever they feel like marrying. He can't hide his emotions, and doesn't want to be like the rest of the people, so he doesn't keep up with the 'revolution.'

I agree with the revolution parts stated above. Marriage is becoming insignificant, or so it would seem. People are just having kid's without being married, and everyone is okay with it. There isn't anything wrong with it. It just went from unexceptable back in the day, to everyone being okay with it now. Maybe that's part of the revolution theory as well.

Overall though, this is a great song!
