I can really relate to this song, or I might just be making this up. But I really think that it's about an ex-girlfriend that he still loves but she forgot about him and doesn't want to remember him.

I think the lead singer is trying to express how that he's sick of trying to find another girl ("And it's quite scary when you wake up in the same old clubs").

reminds me of my ex a little bit.. hes like a different person all of a sudden.. disguise/haze etc. and he doesnt see me anymore.

it's like when a long relationship become old and weary, thing are so-so and boring. They decided to broke up, because its too scary to wake up in same old clubs --> to be with the same person over and over again, i think this give us clue on how weary their relationship has gotten to. And they feel it's alright to broke up, because --- the streets always there for them -- there's always a road or way that will bind them together if they want to come back together or just to get along. i think this shows that eventhough they seem to had enough of each other, there's some feeling left inside and they still care each other deep inside. maybe this is somekind temporary break up, just to lighten up their relationship a bit. It's getting darker and I know this time wasn't meant for us --> like so lets separate until the time is right, and then please come back to me.

waitt...when i read the lyric again..i think this decision is just from the man..i don't think the woman agree... so when they finally broke up, it hurts the woman feeling deeply. it's like "i'm tired of you now..go away for a while..i'll call you when i need you" (ever been in this condition??) so when the man finally get his feeling back and wanted to be with this woman again, the woman is quite reluctant because her heart wouded deeply. She pretend she doesn't know him, pretend she' already get over him. the man realize her "pretencion" and somehow realize she's actually still have feeling for him, but things wont be the same again.

have you ever try to hide your eyes with your hair?? you actually still can see things around you through your hair, but it stops people to notice what you are looking at because they can't see your eyes. So this woman, blinded by her pride, actually still have feeling for the man but she doesn't want him to know that, because this man hurts her alot. this continues on until the man surrender, maybe turn to another woman, then "she can't find him anywhere"

aah..i thought it was "it's like finding something pretty in a jar of lifes " but when i read this lyric,"a jar of flies" makes more sense to me. this is the way the man found out the feeling that she hide deep inside. --there's some feeling inspite all her prentencion of forgetting him--to see good things between bad situasion.
