Secrets Of The Heart Lyrics

Staring out the glass of your tired sedan
Waiting at your door, leaning up against the jamb
We're going all the way, when you can sing to my guitar
but it's late and I can't stay, these secrets of the heart

On the study floor, with the words in your hands
You pull the hair pin out, now and down pour the strands
But you were wrong to say, you can sing to my guitar
But it's late and I can't stay, these secrets of the heart

Cover art for Secrets Of The Heart lyrics by Andrew Kenny

um, a few corrections :^)

in the first verse:

waiting at your door, leaning up against the jam we're going all the way ... it's late and i can't stay ...

in the second verse:

on the study floor, with the words in your hands ... but you were on the sink ... it's late and i can't stay ...

i love this song though. it's so simple, but it's so...indie/lovely/romantic/seductive.

and i have no idea what the word is in the first verse -- the one that comes before "my guitar" :^)
