There is another version of this - the radio edit misses out the verse beginning "read all about it," and amongst other slight edits (lyrics remain mainly accurate) on the radio edit the last part goes:

yes that's my special formatting for when the lyric has two parts. In the version I transcribed from, there's a high "yeah i love ya" for the 3rd and 4th "ah yeah....like" Oh, I think it's about picking up a girl he's seen around who he's well into, instant attraction, he's pleased to discover she's into him too, enough to be "going down" lol. not sure about "hard to beat," and part of it sounds like he's imagining what it would be like, but i didn't write it, yknow!...

This song is great! There's a summer-type feel to the song which makes it great for those long summer parties!

As for the "Read all about it verse.....", upon first reading the lyrics, I took this part of the song to be a dig at Chris Martin from Coldplay dating and marrying Gwyneth Paltrow. I hear the words as thus:

"Read all about it Have you heard the latest Boy in a band Dates Hollywood actress....."

What I think is being said in this part of the song is a drawing of comparisons between Chris and Gwyneth and the guy and the girl in the song. Chris and Gwyneth have been elevated to an almost royalty-like couple and their relationship is almost fairy-tale like when you read the tabloids, hence "Read all about it.....". The budding relationship in the song is more down-to-earth and based in reality and therefore more beautiful because it's the basic 'boy-meets-girl' story, and is not some full-blown fairy-tale.

Very Catchy Song, I can see this band going far. I think this would do really well in the charts. Other songs are real good too.

It's called hard to beat because it is about a celebrity he gets off with, and he feels no one will compare to her because of her social status.

this song rocks, i can take parts of it, well most of it cept the boy band and hollywood actress part i can relate to all but that part, and yah awesome song, awesome band
