Caliber Lyrics
Mumbling monosyllablic moments
Nobody understands
Life's too short for explanations
You've got too many big big plans
You map out every single second
Of what you'll do when your done
You kill your caliber loaded
No one's gonna fuck this up
You drive the exact speed limit
Keep of a track of your mile
Listening to radio music
Smiling when everyone else smiles
You should take a beating willing
Do it in the name of the cause
Do it for the feeling that one day
Maybe you can be your own boss
Maybe get a beautiful women
Get a fat piece of land
Get a couple of kids
A prototypical civilian
Housing towards the future
Mining towards the sun
You keep your caliber loaded
No one's gonna fuck this up
You have got to stay on top
Don't forget to load it up (x6)

Maybe it's about someone about to rob a bank or something like that? Just someone needing that violence in order to achieve a high status in society.
This, to me, is what you could do with your life and what you want to do in the future, or what you could do. You just have to work for it. Life is what you make of it.
This song is about everyone who follows all of society's rules and can't live their own life how they want to. They are slaves in a way, but they do this so that they can be rich like everyone else who follows the rules and standards of society.
i think this song is about trends, and not being your own person. and always following the rules and always staying in line. it about not living free'ly obying rules and becoming the stereotypical person..
"keep perfect track of your own miles"
I think its about like everyone has said about just living the sterotypical life, and doing everything that comes along with it. But I also think its about being so focused on living that life style that you neglect people, your so focused on your goal of a perfect life style that you do whatever is needed to survive, hence the gun refrence and no one fucking this up part. And the end is just hammering home the point about hey, dont let anyone fuck your dream up of a perfect lifestyle which is really sad.
agree with All_Apologies_Polly. That's what I see aswell
"You drive the exact speed limit Keep of a track of your mile Listening to radio music Smiling when everyone else smiles"
Yeah, conformity maybe. Great lyrics :]
I always thought this was more about a guy willing to do anything to get to the 'top', or at least 'the top' in his mind. For some reason when I listen to it, I picture a guy acting normal, and conforming, but really planning something drastic. Like one of those guys who go to the office carrying a gun, because people messed things up on him, you know, 'oh he was so quiet, I thought he was a normal guy'. The music is very fast, and gives off a feeling of anxiety...Like, yea, I'm ready for this, lets do this. I'm the big guy now....But maybe I'm being morbid.
I've listened to winter sleeps music for years, the songs on this album are just so driven, and dark. xD I love it. This song especially.
i think it's: "eyes aim towards the future, mind aim towards the sun"
