though this is a bubblegum song, it does have significance behind it, simple as it is. basically she likes sex and doesnt care that everyone else doesnt want her to be that way. she wants to be who SHE wants to be regardless of what everyone else wants, a trait I find highly admirable. funny this came from a bubblegum song

A girl (or a person, for that matter) can do whatever and whomever she wants with their consent. The problem I have with this song is that the singer comes off as very arrogant and, well bitchy about it. This line, for example, "I'm a 180 to the stereotype girls like staying home and being innocent" seems to imply: I am not like those dumb innocent girls, I am BETTER than them because I openly like sex. I know this is just bubblegum pop, with quite a catchy tune and all, but the implied better-than-you message is irritating.
Well, not that the song has a good message, but it's fun and easy to sing along with. Lets face it, we ALL know someone like that. There's a certain brunette that seems to express at least two, if not three of those adjectives in the chorus.
