Everything Burns - Ben Moody Feat. Anastacia

Now that most people have expressed how they feel about Ben Moody, Anastacia, and Amy Lee (although she doesn't really have anything to do with the song), I believe it's time to focus on the song itself and what message its trying to send out or what the story's about.

My personal interpretation is that these lyrics are all about revenge. It's especially apparent in the chorus: "Til everything burns/While everyone screams/Burning their lies/Burning my dreams/All of this hate/And all of this pain/I'll burn it all down/As my anger reigns/Til everything burns". I agree with GreyscaleBluebird about the main character having been or being abused, though I won't necessarily be so quick to assume that the victim is a child. Adults feel and act the same way as children in these kinds of situations (perhaps they will react in a different way depending on the person). Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you are being abused, you won't want to talk about it because you feel ashamed; however, despite you not wanting anyone to know, there is a part of you that hopes someone will take off their mask ("Too consumed in their masquerade") and finally open their eyes to what is actually happening and do something about it and save the victim. But, until then, she will continue to sing and wish revenge on everyone.

This song is amazing. I think ben is amazing as a song writer and now as a singer.

I was jus listening to this song last night...so this is what ben has been up to. i think this song is great. for me, they're voices dont realy blend well together tho... no offense, but anastacia's singing voice sounds like a man. overall, a great song. its gonna be number one in the charts soon!

and..not really sure what the song means. a girl finally feeling happy??/ and shes waiting for all those unpleasant memories to go away??

this song is amazing....i luv ben..have ever since he was with evanescence...he has amzing talent and I'm glad that he continues to use it...and who knew he would have such a great voice...but the bottom line is great song..will be on my playlist for quite a while

It sounds like he is bitter at a female who can sing and has runied his dreams now I love amy lee to death but it possibly sounds its aimed at her.

Now i know amy said ben dont write from emotions so what I said is probably a load of bull but hey puts a new angle on the song lol. Sorry ben and amy and evanescence fans who are about to kill me i was just writing what I thought

this song is so beautiful but I don't want to buy fantastic four's sound track just to hear this song and the videp clip is so cool I liled the comics of the fantastic four but isn't he afraid to set at the edge of whatever it was this is so crazy but I liked it?
