Bad Weekend Lyrics
Haven't read the NME in so long
Don't know what genre we belong
Haven't read the NME in so long
Don't know what genre we belong
Popular culture no longer applies to me
Popular culture no longer applies to me
Popular culture no longer applies to me
Popular culture no longer applies to me
It's tough at the top
The fashionista

Sometimes it's hard to stop
When your heart is set on Top of the Pops
Top of the Pops

Sometimes it's hard to stop
When your heart is set on Top of the Pops
Top of the Pops
Saved up a lot of money to spend
But all I could afford was a bad weekend
Can't stand pop music nowadays
It's not loud enough
Everybody can sing
Popular culture no longer applies to me

Best Live Adlib ever, after kicking over a mic stand: "Spacial Awareness no longer applies to me"

Hahah thats great.
And great lyrics to this song. Criticisms of the 'indie scene' can get pretty tiresome, but this is done with enough wit to make it enjoyable.
I love this song! It's probably my favourite off the new album.
"Can't stand pop music nowadays It's not loud enough Everybody can sing "
:) I love Eddie Argos' vocals so much, they're so rubbish.

Such a good song, I love the gutar licks. Obviously as far as meanings go, it's just about being fed up with the endless categorization and discussion about genres, and I love it.
awesome.... i think its about his intense dislike of the current 'indie scene' and how everyone in it thinks they're so cool and 'alternative' when the music they make and listen to is fundamentally formulaic pop. art brut dont conform to any particular genre and i find it ironic when all the 'indie kids' say how much they love this band, when this song is basically saying 'fuck you all, you little posing wannabees'
i know, i should let them get on with it, but they're killing truely alternative music
I saw them live with Maximo Park, and he just started chanting, "ART, BRUT! TOP OF THE POPS!" and then it became "MAXIMO, PARK, WERE ON TOP OF THE POPS!" I love Eddie Argos. So much.
Should be called Bad week
This song is about World of Warcraft.
