Cross Out The Stars Lyrics
I woke up cold November,
It takes a lot to show my face around here.
I've only myself to blame.
I tried not to lose,
What I tried so hard to show to you.
How long, can I wait here?
I'm all torn, by your words.
I'm broken, yet we're still burning,
Just hold on till the end.
I crossed out all the stars,
To try to show that she was once amongst them.
I've only myself to blame.
I tried not to lose,
But I tried so hard to show to you.
How long, can I wait here?
I'm all torn, by your words.
I'm broken, yet we're still burning,
Just hold on till the end.
It's been a long time,
It's been such a long time.
How long, can I wait here?
I'm all torn, by your words.
I'm broken, yet we're still burning.
Just hold on till the end.
It takes a lot to show my face around here.
I've only myself to blame.
What I tried so hard to show to you.
I'm all torn, by your words.
I'm broken, yet we're still burning,
Just hold on till the end.
To try to show that she was once amongst them.
I've only myself to blame.
But I tried so hard to show to you.
I'm all torn, by your words.
I'm broken, yet we're still burning,
Just hold on till the end.
It's been such a long time.
I'm all torn, by your words.
I'm broken, yet we're still burning.
Just hold on till the end.

i think this song , represents a total break down in a persons body mind and soul, could be to do with love it seems most probable probably after a dead or dying relationship.
even though they dont seem to be that big at the moment i love them especially as charlie quit busted for them good man i hope people will appreciate them more
i love them keep it coming lads!!
I agree with henna hippie. This song is so sad. I may be soft but I almost cried the first time I heard it!!
To me it's about how he can't take the pain of the fighting in the relationship, but "we're still burning. Just hold on til the end" tells me that he doesn't want to lose her because there's still love amongst the pain. "I try not to lose, but I try so hard to show to you" says he doesn't want to lose her but he can't make her see how he's hurting. "How long can I wait here?" is like saying "I'll suffer to be with you." "Hold on to the end" is like "I need you".
This song means a lot to me. It's very deep and I love it, along with other Fightstar songs. I hope they keep working at it.
"I crossed out all the stars, To try to show that she was once amongst them"
Love this line. I think its about loving someone, and seeing them as perfect, as if this girl could have been in the sky, or an angel, or something like that.
Awesome song
is this song on one of their albums? is it on grand unification or the EP?
It's on the EP.
K...here we go.
I woke up cold November, It takes a lot to show my face around here. I've only myself to blame.
This bit basicly is saying that when you wake up in the morning and your used to haveing your partner beside you that inside you feel cold, lost and that it is hard to get up in the morning and make it though the day knoing its your fault the relationship has ended and that you wont see his/her face again.
I tried not to lose, What I tried so hard to show to you.
How long, can I wait here? I'm all torn, by your words. I'm broken, yet we're still burning, Just hold on till the end.
That it hurts to break up a relationship that is messy, that hes still in love with her and he wants her back yet it wont happen because things were said that shouldnt have been said and it hurt the other person too much.
"I tried not to lose what I tried so hard to show to you"
By this line I think it means love - as in while he was trying to show her how much he loved her he just didnt feel it anymore or it could be trust. Either way this is a great song. x
Sorry, people, but you guys are all wrong. It's about the relationship between Shinji Ikari and his father.
there is no right or wrong. everybody can have their own opinion about what the song means to them.
