Hehe. This song is cute. Just the way they say "I've never met someone quite like you". Hehe. It makes me giggle.

I love this song. :] It's definitely one of my favorites of their's. The song is relatively easy to understand. Well, at least in my opinion.
I tend to think of a girl who has had many boyfriends and crushes in her past, but then all of a sudden she meets someone that blows everyone else out of the water.
Also, the way that "But I've never met someone quite like you" is sung makes me think that maybe she's almost confused or bewildered (in a happy-surprised way) as to how this person is so perfect and fitting.
Then the rest of the song basically talks about wonderful their relationship is.

the words are beautiful. but i HATE the tempo & the tune.

I think this could be about a wedding or a prom, an event where people take pictures and talk about how wonderful the couple is, how they are all enchanted by them. I say wedding because you need a witness at the weddings.
Also, I think it's sung in such a tone - detatched, dreamy, and kind or surprised that she feels this way about the person.

I believe that means...that her and the boy always used to sneak glances but then turn away from eachother shyly. They were facsinated by eachother but never spoke up or did anything about it. He used to watch her perform a song on stage with her band.
