a great song, amazing lyrics ! A person who wasted their time and now it's too late for him/her to go back. Seize the day, do what you must do now, it doesn't matter the result, you just do what you feel it's good otherwise it might be too late in the future. Something like that happened to me a couple of months ago, I should have told a female friend my feelings but I chickened out, since then I haven't seen her and now I regret that I didn't say anything to her. All in all, you must learn from you mistakes, but it'd be good if you could avoid making them by following this advice.
This song, since day 1, has had an extremely powerful impact on me. Sent chills through my spine and tears to my eyes. I always looked at it as losing someone, for this song m. shadss is most likely talking about his loved one- girlfriend wise, but spending as much time with them and seizing the day because you never know what tomorrow holds for you. My brother is the one who got me completly hooked on avenged sevenfold and this song to be more specific. That being said, this song is 325410 x more powerful now then it was when I first heard it. I say this because my brother just passed away. Our favorite song, my worst nightmare has happened. This song can be for family members and friends as well, not only for your partners. He explains to seize the day and to love people that mean something to you because you never know when they will get taken away from you. That being said, love those who treat you well, fuck the ones that dont (not literally, they don't deserve you anyways) and live your life to the fullest, life is too short. All meaningings aside, THIS SONG IS ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR!! from Matts SEXYAMAZING voice all the way to the instrumentals!!! Seeing as how my brother passed away AS this song was playing, I can't wait to pick up the courage to listen to it again. Avenged Sevenfold is a band of gifted gods! Some people just dont get it do they, A7X are so smart and incredibly talented at creating and playing music, some people just cant grasp it. Its like beautiful poetry and like any great poetry past and/or present, not everyone gets it and some think they get it but are way off base. I mean there are poetry classes and literature classes for this shit and most may not seem to make sense to everyone but the writers knew damn well what they were writing and the message they were trying to get across. And these guys truly create and play music from their hearts, so you must also listen with yours. So dont beat yourself up about it, but if you're one of those types who talk shit about these guys (A7X that is - fuck sorry not putting down poetry but excluding it for this) just because they dont understand what their listening to:
These guys are extremely devoted to their music and fan base, and pour their hearts into their music they make for us and we love and appreciate them for that, so if you dont like it shut the fuck up and change the channel.
To all of the real A7X fans out there, keep on supporting these guys, they need our support right now more than ever with the recent loss of their brother Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. So go the FUCK out there and tell everyone that you know and even dont know about their new CD coming out which is going to be attributed in honor of Jimmy. I think it's about how bittersweet love really is.
It all has to end someday when one of them dies, and I think this song is like he's finally realizing all of this and he's scared to lose the other person.
He's saying "Please don't leave me, I can't live without you" even though he knows it has to end someday.
