We the Sheeple Lyrics
He sleeps
Like a corpse
He's not a dead man
And he's never loved
Red, white and blue
are all torn and tattered
and often times splattered
in blood, sweat and goo
wake up people, wake up sheeple
wake up people, wake up
We, we the sheeple
We're really not people
Really not free
We all live in boxes
Work, die and pay taxes
So we can watch cable
and drive SUV's
wake up people, wake up sheeple
wake up people, wake up sheeple
no more car pools (wake up)
no more Big Macs
no more handguns (wake up)
no more prozac
no more cocaine (wake up)
no more feng shui
no more Hollywood magazine interviews (wake up)
Ritalin, heroine, caffiene and exaltrine (wake up) (and his head was in the wrong place)
Blinded black box in a media smoke screen (wake up)
(and his head was in the wrong place)
His head was all over the wall
His head was all over the wall
Ritalin, heroine, caffiene and exaltrine
Ritalin, heroine, caffiene and exaltrine
Ritalin, heroine, caffiene and exaltrine
Like a corpse
He's not a dead man
And he's never loved
are all torn and tattered

wake up people, wake up

what the hell is exaltrine?
Anyway, the meaning is pretty simple: Apparently he thinks the [American?] people are sheep; doing what's expected of them and then taking their place under some dirt.
it's dexatrim. not exaltrine. and it's "he's not a dead man, but he's not alive" and "all torn and tattered and often times splattered in blood sweat and drool"
and i agree with your interpretation. (ps dexatrim is a dieting pill i think)
