Low Lyrics

You see the world in black and white
No color or light
You think you'll never get it right
But you know, you might

The sky could fall, could fall on me
The parting of the seas
But you mean more, mean more to me
Than any color I can see

All you ever wanted was love
But you never looked hard enough
It's never gonna give itself up
All you ever wanted to be
Living in perfect symmetry
Nothing is as down or as up
As us

You see the world in black and white
Not painted right
You see no meaning to your life
You should try
Yes you try

And all you ever wanted was love
But you never looked hard enough
It's never gonna give itself up
And all you ever wanted to be
Living in perfect symmetry
Nothing is as down or as up

And don't you want to see it come soon
Floating in a big white balloon
Or given on your own silver spoon

Don't you want to see it come down
there's for throwing your arms around
And saying not a moment too soon

'Cause I feel low
'Cause I feel low
Ooh
Yeah I feel low
Oh no
Oh ooh
'Cause I feel low
'Cause I feel low
Ooh
And I feel low
Oh no
Ooh

Coldplay don't put their lyrics in the album sleeves because they want the listeners to analyse and figure out what each song means through what they hear. Not the lyrics. That's what they say on their website. I prefer that. Bravo Coldplay. Awesome song. I think it's about people seeing the negatives of life instead of trying your best to find what you're looking for. I have a friend like that. She is so F'ing annoying when she's like that. Negative people piss me off.

yes exactly, imo the sound posesses the meaning, and lyrics are simply overrated. but maybe im wrong because im always misinterpreting the lyrics half the time. great song though.

I don't think this song is so much about somebody pessimistic as it is somebody who is painfully logic in their thinking and too stubborn to change their outlook. The lyrics imply that this person is dragging the writer down with them in their bleak perspective of the world, and I almost get a sense of anger from it all.

The main message I get is, "You look at the world in such a cut-and-dry sort of way, and if you could just see it for the beauty that it truly is, your life would have so much more meaning."

The thing about this song, is it's got deep, almost surreal lyrics, but it's in this catchy upbeat instrumental, so the song doesn't seem too emotional.

The first four lines suggest the person that the writer/performer is talking to has deprived themself of any life, as if they've given up on all hope for one reason or another. "You see the world in black

Q mag write from Martin "A turning point. We had this piece we'd written on tour in Zurich and I'd listened to it on my computer and think, That's a great thing. And then I was in San Diego, and just as I was leaving the hotel, I had this idea, so I went to the lobby piano and worked out these chords. And then we booked ourselves into a tiny rehearsal space and we all got such a buzz from playing that it made us realise we had gone wrong on the recordings of all the other songs. I realised last August that I was missing everyone else and Low was what brought us back together."

Lyrics probably aren't 100% correct but I'll correct it when I see the album sleeve notes.

I think this might be about the sort of people who are apathetic to living and then complain that life's a bitch, just expecting something to come along that is "never gonna give itself up".

coldplay never puts their lyrics in the sleevenotes because they said (i dont remember which interview) that they thought there lyrics were not that impressive so they always left them out.

:) correct lyrics

You see the world in black and white No colour or light You think you'll never get it right But you're wrong... you might

The sky could fall, could fall on me They're passing on the seas But you mean more, mean more to me Than any colour I can see

All you ever wanted was love But you never looked hard enough it's never gonna give itself up

All you ever wanted to be Living in perfect symmetry Nothing is as down or old as us as us

You see the world in black and white Not painted right You see no meaning to your life You should try You should try

And all you ever wanted was love but you never looked hard enough it's never gonna give itself up

All you ever wanted to be Living in perfect symmetry Nothing is as down or old as us

And don't you wanna see it come through? Floating in a big white balloon Given on your own silver spoon

Don't you wanna see it come down Death is throwing your arms around Say it in a moment too soon

'Cause I feel low 'Cause I feel low Ohhhhhhhhhh Yeah I feel low Oh no Ohhhhhhhhhh

Ohhhhhhhhhh

'Cause I feel low Ahhhhhhhhhh 'Cause I feel low Ahhhhhhhhhh But I feel low Oh no Ohhhhhhhhhh

it really bothers me that coldplay doesn't have the l;yrics to their songs in the album sleeve, it would be really helpful if they did. tHe lyrics for their other albums are online, but i guess they haven;t gotten around to putting up the lyrics for x and y yet. oh well, this is still a great song.
