República Dominicana

Oye, ahora ustedes van a cantar
Yo no voy a cantar, ustedes ahora conmigo

Y si no tienes experiencia te enamora
Una especialista
Para que te ponga ella a la vista
Balas hechiceras, un nombre en su lista
¿Que si es maliciosa?
Yo que la traté como una diosa
Me engañó y ahora me llama como loca, ¿sabes? (Oye)

Presea, dale, presea
Si ya no estamos juntos otra mujer me gardea, ¿sabes?
Presea, dale, presea

Presea, dale, presea
Si ya no estamos juntos otra mujer me gardea, ¿sabes?
(Presea, dale) presea
Que pocos son los indios y hay mucha india en la aldea, ¿sabes?
Presea, dale, presea
No dejes pa' mañana lo de hoy que te lo llevan, ma'
Presea, dale, presea
Ahora estás celosa porque otra me desea, ma' (dile)

Yo estoy soltero, mai y tú preseas
Yo saco otra a bailar y tú preseas
Tú comes en to's la'os y me preseas
Si tienes dueño, ma, ¿pa' qué me celas?
(Vamos a dejar esto claro ya, ¿okay?)
¿Cómo tú le dice' Yankee?

Lo que pasó, pasó
Entre tú y yo
Lo que pasó, pasó
Entre tú y yo
Lo que pasó, pasó
Entre tú y yo
Lo que pasó, pasó
Entre tú y yo

Dale, dale, dale, y dale mambo
Dale mambo, dale mambo, dale
Y dale mambo (duro, duro), y dale mambo
Y dale mambo (duro, duro), y dale mambo
Y dale mambo (duro, duro), y dale mambo
Y dale mambo (suelta), y dale mambo (suelta)
Y dale mambo (suelta), y dale mambo (suelta)
Y dale mambo (suelta), y dale mambo (woh)
Oh, oh, dale mambo
Sandunguea, sandunguea, y dale mambo
Sandunguea, y dale, y dale mambo
Yeah, mucho sandungueo pa' las beautiful ladies

True... maybe not the greatest music out there... but then again, what is? It all depends on your mood, I'm Dominican and have been listening to reggaetton since the old days when only underground stuff used to come out, nobody thought it was going to make this big a boom, and I myself was reluctant at first to accept the transition of the genre, but u know what... I really enjoy it, and it's not really the artists fault that the genre has reached such high levels of acceptance between communities, enjoy the music, dance to it. if you don't like it then don't waste your time posting here or hearing it! do yourselves a favor... :)

yankee is from Puerto Rico and so am I.. we dont really care about the lyrics or what it means as long as if its catchy and fun and sexy to dance with. i think people hate yankee because the media over-exposed him and also because they think he is a poser or a fake or whatever but we here know what he is all about and he is one of the greatest to us. and its a fashion so i know its not forever but as long as reggaeton is IN.. well, he will be remembered. and this song is not about sex...is about a guy saying to his exgirlfriend 'hey, we are through , face it . its over. you cheated and im not gonna take it etc

having latino friends and working at a place where the majority of employees are latin doesn't make it that easy. i can put up with it, but it's not the greatest music out there.

not all reggeaton is about sex! most of it is though lol

I like reggeaton is the best music to dance and like it or not Daddy Yankee is now one of the greatest most important musicians out there, he's known world wide and has had a lot of success in Europe and the States.

Reggeaton may not be the greatest music, but it's not the worst either.

Reggaeton sucks. I'm from mexico too, and it's true, we're surrounded. People only like this music because it's danceable, but ALL lyrics with no exception talk about sex. I mean, sex is cool, but... all songs like this one are substituted by another song, and that one by another and so on. So... what is it you find interesting about this music?

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"
