Christina Lyrics

Sad treacle, she's sweet but sad
Sad treacle, drove oh so mad
All those letters she never phoned
Sad treacle left me all alone…

Christina…
I saw you in a magazine-a
Your eyes shone like pearls
All over the world
I can't wait next time I'm goin' to see ya,
Playing the part of pretty ballerina

What a way to carry on
You're one minute cold
Next you're leading me on
With me all alone
And you in your Bell Air home

Christina…
I love you madly
Can't you see when I look to the stars
I'm a superstar
And what's the point of you living
If we can't be together ?
I'm coming on to shoot you
The sooner the better

What a way to carry on
You're one minute cold
Next you're leading me on
With me all alone
And you in your Bell Air home
(x2)

Saw your last interview
You've better things to do
And now that you're gone
I'll always be with you
Well, you say I'm to blame
I was fed by you
Well, you say I'm to blame
I was fed by you

Christina…
I saw you in a magazine-a
Your eyes shone like pearls
All over the world

Cover art for Christina lyrics by Gorky's Zygotic Mynci

On first listen, it sounds like a typical unrequited love ballad, but upon closer inspection of the lyrics, you find a perfect example of GZM's wicked sense of humor. With delicate music and a bittersweet voice, Euros sings from the perspective of a murderous stalker fan.

Also love the line "Saw your last interview", which can be taken as "most recent", or her "final" interview, now that she's "gone".

Supposedly written by Euros during a phase in which he imagined himself to be a pair of songwriting brothers working on commission. Pretty clearly a stalker ballad.

As a correction- surely 'Bel Air' home rather than 'bell air'
