Poisoning a drink, bleeding in a sink
Choking with a link, killing with a stink
Just your mother's ho

Bleeding in a sink, poisoning a drink
Burning up, my sweet Clementine

Trampling a shrink, bleeding in a sink
Hallelujah wink, getting on the brink
Just your mother's ho

Hallelujah wink, murdering a shrink
Burning up

Oh, my sweet revenge
Will be yours for the taking
It's in the making, baby, oh

My sweet revenge
Will be yours for the taking
It's in the making, baby, oh

Killing with stink, bleeding in a sink
Poisoning a drink, getting on the brink
Just your mother's ho

Bleeding in a sink, trampling a shrink
Burning up, my sweet Clementine

Poisoning a drink, bleeding in a sink
Choking with a link, killing with a stink
Just your mother's ho

Poisoning a drink, bleeding in a sink
Burning up

My sweet revenge
Will be yours for the taking
It's in the making, baby, oh

My sweet revenge
Will be yours for the taking
It's in the making, baby, oh

I saw her laugh
Then she said
"Go away"

I saw her laugh
Then she said, then she said
"Go away," away

Oh, oh, oh

My sweet revenge
Will be yours for the taking
It's in the making, baby, oh

My sweet revenge
Will be yours, it's in the making
It's in the taking, making, baking, taking, faking, oh

Ho
My sweet Clementine
Ho

Shoulda been, coulda been, woulda been, woulda been you
Shoulda been, coulda been, woulda been, woulda been you

To add to my comment above, it's a song about abortion, from a pro-life extremist's view.

Now it should make a bit more sense to some of you.

And it's a great song too, btw.

It is Clementine. I've listened to this song enough to know. Definitely digging the guitar solo towards the end, too.

yes, its Clementine. awesome song. its cool how it first starts out all fast and then it slows down to a melodic state claming they will seek revenge.

This song remids me a lot of the Japanese Novel. Battle Royale. Some people seek revenge on others. Others are there just to slaughter.

i love this song, how come im the 5th person to comment. a great song. im not to familiar with system of a downs lyrical metaphors and stuff, so i don't know whether this is about a girl who broke and used the love of a guy'. and the is feeling crappy and depressed and these are his thoughts. i think im rambling.

    Great song though. Love it.

Well, obviously this song has to do with getting revenge on someone, and here i think it's getting revenge on a cheating girlfriend or something like that. I'm not sure if this is right but atleast its what I think. My sweet clementine could be the name maybe and poisoning clementine's drink and watching her suffer is getting revenge. The lines about her saying, "Go away," could be her trying to break up. And the lines "should have been....etc." means that if you didn't screw up the relationship, you would have been the one.

    Just my interpretation

    Well, all of the 'Posining a drink" "Bleading in a Sink" and all of that such, is ment for ways to kill. Apparently, the character they created, or the person who went through that, asked somebody out who they really liked.. possably even loved.. They laughed, then coldly said "go away" so the person is planing on getting Revenge. Although it says here, in the booklet that comes with the CD, yes it does say Clemintine, but it doesn't say just you mothers HO, it says your.. not you. Easy mistake to make.. ^^;

The person would have given the girl everything, "shoulda been you!" part... and the "Just your mothers HO" means that the girl is just a ho, and mother really only states it as like mother fucker, or son of a bitch, or something of the such like that. Just to add more.. "It's in the making, baby!" means, they're planing on it now.. They're deciding what to do. Clemintine, is I'm assuming the girl, because "Burning Up" then directly after that it's "My Sweet Clemintine" put it together, "Burning Up My Sweet Clemintine" as another way to kill her.

The guitar solo you guys are referring to is actually taken from the norwegian black metal band Emperor. It's the theme from "I am the Black Wizards" (no, that's not a typo!) which is from their 1994 album "In the Nightside Eclipse". I was kinda surprised to hear it in a SOAD song, but not surprised most people didn't recognize it/know it's origin.

This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
