Wake The Regiment Lyrics
It's never been this cold beofre, now it's getting to me
Writng my thoughts home to you
Not knowing if I'll ever see your face again again
So wake the regiment
We're marching on tonight
This is what we live for, this is what we live for
So wake the regiment
We're taking back what's ours
Home is what we die for, home is what we die for
Now memories of yesteryear
They're enough to get me through just one more time
I'm thinking about you and all the things you've that you've
Taught me in this life
I'll remember till I die
So wake the regiment
We're marching on tonight
This is what we live for, this is what we live for
So wake the regiment
We're taking back what's ours
Home is what we die for, home is what we die for
Writng my thoughts home to you
Not knowing if I'll ever see your face again again
We're marching on tonight
This is what we live for, this is what we live for
So wake the regiment
We're taking back what's ours
Home is what we die for, home is what we die for
They're enough to get me through just one more time
I'm thinking about you and all the things you've that you've
Taught me in this life
I'll remember till I die
We're marching on tonight
This is what we live for, this is what we live for
So wake the regiment
We're taking back what's ours
Home is what we die for, home is what we die for

i think this is a song about the troops overseas,i'd be surprised if it's not something like that
Since The Wedding is a Christian band I thought it might have been about spiratual battles, or the battles/struggles you go through during life
According to the band: Trevor Sarver comments: "WAKE THE REGIMENT is my personal favorite. Its written from a soldiers point of view as if he were writing a song to us back home and we heard it. Its cool, so many people whine and gripe about the war, but man there’s people DYING for us over here, and that’s what that ones about."
Kevin Kiehn- "Wake the Regiment is my favorite song to play, and whenever I get the chance I like to explain the meaning behind it at shows. For me at the time I was tired of hearing all the controversy behind the war in Iraq. You had the people who said "We shouldn't be there, it's none of our business", then you had the people who were all for it. I looked at it as this. Whether we like it or not, a decision was made and a lot of our men and women went to war for something that they thought was a cause willing to give up their life for. We have friends whose family members have died serving our country. How do you think those families feel when every time they turn on the TV. They see some polished upper class bimbo in a suit and tie saying that what their son did was useless. I was tired of it. So wake the regiment is from a soldier’s perspective and how I think (even though I don't have the faintest clue) what they might be thinking over there."
Well quoted, lisliaer.
I just saw these guys in concert two days prior to this writing, and it is, indeed, a song about our troops overseas - and a good song, at that.
yeah this song is about/dedicated to troops overseas...I've seen them in concert twice and they dedicate Wake the Regiment to the troops overseas before they play the song.
this song is amazing. I love the little part that says " life is a war" because it is so true.
Oh come on people of course it's about war. These guys are not that good. I really mean that and im related to the Cody the base player. I wish them the best of luck but there are a ton of better bands that diserve success more than these guys. SORRY CODY!
Its talking about getting together and standing up for God. Trying to get the world back to a place that's pleasing to God. We all know its full of sin. Its talking about doing whatever it takes to get there because we're living now for whats ahead "Home is what we die for"
