Turn Up The Sun Lyrics
I carry the madness everywhere i go
Over the border and back to the snow
So if you see me and I look right through
You shouldn’t take it as a reflection on you
Come on, turn up the sun
Turn it up for everyone
Love one another, love one another
The boys in the bubble, they wanna be free
And they got so blind that they cannot see
But I’m not your keeper, I don’t have yer key
I got a piano, I can't find the C
Come on, turn up the sun
Turn it up for everyone
Love one another, love one another
Come on, turn up the sun
Turn it up for everyone
Love one another, love one another
Over the border and back to the snow
So if you see me and I look right through
You shouldn’t take it as a reflection on you
Turn it up for everyone
Love one another, love one another
And they got so blind that they cannot see
But I’m not your keeper, I don’t have yer key
I got a piano, I can't find the C
Turn it up for everyone
Love one another, love one another
Turn it up for everyone
Love one another, love one another

Stomping Andy bell song. First 2 verses seem to be explaining himself to the band and how he is who he is. From then on in he's directly speaking about (and to) the two Gallagher's (boys in the bubble, they got so blind they can't see etc) then is telling them to turn up the sun and just love one another (for everyone to enjoy). He then suggests that he shouldn't need to babysit them when they argue/fall out (I'm not your keeper) and that only those two can sort out their (famous) problems (I don't have the key). Further reasons I feel this about the song, is the clever way bell has both brothers singing every single word together after the opening verses as if he is almost trying to force them to love one another like some weird musical therapist, as if some sort of mantra for them both will solve the problems. Genius if so. Great great tune always takes me back to summer 2005.
Glad ive got the honour of sticking the first comment on for this song (unless some bellend is writing a comment right now..) Anyway, what a brilliant fucking song. First verse doesnt look that good on paper but when you hear the opening line you just know you got a great song.
Was a bit scared this album would be shite, but this song has the same effect Rock n Roll star has on DM, just a brilliant first song for an album, gets you right up for it.
Meaning? a bit different, seems like Liam is a moody fecker but is telling sdome bright spark to lighten up, not to take what he does as offensive and just keep smiling, light up everyone elses life because he cant do it himself.
Ah fuck it I dunno the meaning, someone else can post that, this is just a brilliant sonmg. end of. (shame mucky fingers follows it...)
A beginning of summer song, expressions of relief and welcoming? Great song, great album.
i love this bloody band. i'm sad for the old lineup though. can't they all just get along?
@ijohnnyz I'm fairly new to Oasis (too late!) but I heard the original members all asked to quit because couldn't deal with extensive touring. The only one I feel sorry for is the drummer (the one who is in Familiar to Millions DVD), because he asked to quit due to the growing use of drum loops live, and as a drummer we can imagine it sucks major ass to play drums along a fucking prerecorded track when you are member of an allegedly "rock band".

I'm glad you all like the song. Before Oasis, there was a band called Ride. Andy Bell was the principal songwriter in that band. Andy Bell wrote this song "turn up the sun." Enough said. He is a great man.
