Soldier Side (Intro) Lyrics
Welcome to the soldier side,
Where there's no one here but me,
People all grow up to die,
There is no one here but me.
Where there's no one here but me,
People all grow up to die,
There is no one here but me.

Daron is clever, and this song makes you feel what its like.
I am pretty sure they put this song on here to tribute pink floyds double album "the wall", where the end of disc 2 syncs into the begining of disc 1. So if u listen to the end of the hypnotize album, it syncs into the begining of the memerize album.
Great intro to a great album.
Agreed. I almost wish it were a full song.
yeah great intro. on itunes (with fade in) BYOB just fits SO well after it!
anyone else get the feeling soldier-side is somehow related to suicide? Or am I just extra crazy because of this?
I think this might be referring to the genocide of soldiers, led by the current war.
yeah, i read somewhere that it was originally spelled Soldiercide, like suicide/homicide/genocide
As a soldier (and yes I fought, as in I'm an infantryman, in this current war) I feel the suicide concept more then anything else from this.
This song is about Daron (SOAD'S guitarist) visiting his family, who is still in Iraq. They said so in a May issue of the Rolling Stone.
