This song means so much to me because I feel I can relate. I feel like this song is about someone who is all about one time hookups or very short term relationships... sleeping around, dating around. This person gets caught up in the physical aspect of relationships to get attention and the people he/she trust and give it all to, leave in the end. This person wants more commitment and more of a relationship, wants to finally love someone, wants to finally trust someone, and have someone see them for who they are, more than just a hookup. It's saying that if you wait, and hol dout on giving in, and enjoy the true aspects of a relationship and love, it'll be more than worth it in the end...

one of my favourites on Underage Thinking. its a sweet song, and i guess he is giving advice to a friend (boy/girl) because they are complaining about how maybe his/her relationships dont work? I like to give this song to my friends, especially one of my guy friends who seriousuly likes a different girl each week. I would use the line; "slow down, and pace yourself, because when its good its a long open road" as a really good love quote. I find that its just like when you really do fall in love, its heaps better than just liking someone more than a friend or someting like that. this song was stuck in my head too for a while, i love playing it in the car :) congrats on teddy geiger for an amazing song once again.
This is one of my favorite Teddy songs ever. Yes, adilah, it's slow, but I think it really helps to bring the point of it all back home. I had listened to this song a bunch following Love Monkey and when I first got the cd because it was so beautiful. I'm talking to a guy who is on the recovery end of this song. He was exactly like the person in this song, but now he wants more. He wants a relationship. Just from talking to me and through my various internet profiles, he knows that I refuse to be just an "adrenaline rush" or a "thrill," and he's actually trying to see my soul. He's taking off his shoes for once, for me. We'll see how far this road goes.
