At some points his voice reminds me of Conor Oberst's. I can't say I don't like it.
The guy I like can't make up his fucking mind of whether he wants me or his old girlfriend so these lyrics are pretty justified for me by that.

"Stop pretending like you care" I agree with OneSecondRegrets... But this line I think isn't saying to necessarily STOP caring, but stop PRETENDING. In other words, make it REAL or STOP CARING. Either way, stop PRETENDING. Yeah, anyway, I'm sure that was obvious to you all, but I didn't get that right off the bat...
Yeah, it's about making a decision. The name of the song comes from sports, where two teammates are under a ball they have to catch. One of them has to "call it in the air" and make the decision to be the catcher, or else they'll probably collide and not catch anything.
