Beast and the Harlot

Wow... So many of you are idiots... This song is directly from the bible - as many of their lyrics are. It's the story of the fall of Babylon. The Harlot signed a deal with the devil to being as many to his side as she could, and demons were always with her. The devil and the harlot were the key to the fall of Babylon. When she finished her job, though, and returned to the devil, he then took her soul because everyone loses when they side with him over God. The end part is a quote "serve above or be a king below with us" Is loosely based on Paradise Lost, where they discuss the fall of Satan from heaven. He believed it better to be a king in hell than a servant in Heaven. Though once you're in hell, you're soul is forgotten and gone forever and you can never be redeemed. Have a great day :)

For all of those OUT of the know... M. Shadows had to have surgery on his vocal chord due to the SEVERE damage that he had done to them over the years since the Hopeless comp. A7X first appeared on back in 2000. He is unable to lay down the screams that made Avenged Sevenfold the band it "once was"...

I was at the San Diego CD release party, and he didn't bring it up... but its true... all the older jams... were sung, with clean vocals... my friends and I had to fill in the "blanks" :p

Please don't hate A7X becos Shadows sacrificed his voice for our aural pleasure. Dig them like they deserve... Zacky, Gates, The Rev, and Johny... not to mention the GREAT M. Shadows are trying to do all they can to give us everything they have.

Don't just write a band off just because of ONE song. One song does not really mean anything, and so what if other people start liking them. They are superficial fans of music, the will like whatever is "big" at the time and forget about it the next second. So I wouldn't worry to much about those people. At least Avenged has not become some kind of rap group. They will no doubt sound different from album to album, but so long as they don't start rapping or singing country tunes in their music I am sure it will be okay.

and if you dont own them for any reason other than the fact that you honestly don't like the sound, then youre just as foolish as the little kiddies who think they're hardcore for doing the same. and if you just don't like the sound because a7x aren't as 'underground' as they used to be, then you're hopeless.
