The B-List Lyrics
Take another hundred names, and put them on a list,
And curse yourself forever watching it,
I'm not gonna have to, see it to the end,
Cuz the fastest rat is always gonna win,
You've gotta know to hustle, to make it in this town,
Cause competition is stiff as ever now,
Take another hundred, and put it in her hand,
Present the prize and not the ambulance,
You've got a certain spark,
You've got to show it off,
What are you waiting for?
They've been expecting you,
Have got the brightest spark,
Don't let them blow it out,
What are you waiting for?
They've been expecting your call,
She walks on red carpet all the time, in my eyes,
Others will scoff at her clothes coming off,
They will talk, let them talk
Because you've given them just what they want,
Harder than a drama,
Softer than a porn,
Oh come on, fill the purse a little more,
You've got something special (You've got something special)
Put it on the air,
Humilation pays well by the tear,
You've got a certain spark,
You've got to show it off,
What are you waiting for?
They've been expecting you,
What are you waiting for?
They've been expecting your call,
She walks on red carpet all the time, in my eyes,
Others will scoff at her clothes coming off,
They will talk, let them talk,
Because she's given them just what they want,
Given them just what they want,
Yeah, you've given them just what they want,
You'll do most anything,
You'll do most anything, for the camera,
A milll for a wedding ring,
A thou for embarrassing, yourself,
Keep that camera rolling baby,
What are you waiting for?
Cuz we've been waiting for you,
Oh, what are you waiting for? (Wait for it)
They've been expecting your call,
She walks on red carpet all the time, in my eyes,
In my eyes,
Others will scoff at her clothes coming off,

This along with Ready, are my favorite new TSL songs from the new CD. It seems that the meaning is about a girl who wants to be a star and walk the red carpet. Even though she\'s not he see\'s her on the red carpet in his mind and know\'s she\'d do almost anything to get there. Amazing song though.
i do the believe the chorus is:
She walks on red carpet all the time, in my eyes, Others will scoff at her clothes coming off, They will talk, let them talk Because you\'ve given them just what they want
this is an awesome song, the chorus is just so damn catchy.
i gave it a few more listens and the only time i can here the "coming off" is in the 2nd to last chorus...the other times i still hear up. so for now i'm gonna leave it this way until official lyrics are released....but like you said...awesome song and very catchy
This song is really good. I'm not sure of the exact meaning. But I think the bridge goes...
"A mil' for a wedding ring, a thou' for embarrassing, yourself"
Meaning a million and a thousand. It would go along with the theme of the song, but maybe that's just me.
I have the official song lyrics sitting in front of me, the
"A mil' for a wedding ring, a thou' for embarrassing, yourself"
is correct, and also throughout the song it's clothes coming off. Sorry to be a pain! :\
yea i agree. i think its about a guy who would do anything for a girl (that part is kinda obvious). but i think she's in love with something else and she's losing sight on whats important in life. i think kenny sings some parts of the song with a bitingly sarcastic tone (talking to the girl)
To me, this song is about a girl who is trying to make in it on the big screen but she gets off on the wrong track and starts doing porn to help her make her a star and make her some money. To this guy, he thinks she could do much better than what she has gotten herself into. I'd love feedback on this comment. Thanks!! :-)
It's about reality shows.
The B-List refers to B-list celebrities, i think it's jsut about a girl doing whatever is possible to climb higher on the ladder of fame
I think in a general sense this song is about a girl who is willing to give up certain things for her image in the eyes of everyone else.
He presents her sad plight ("You've gotta know to hustle, to make it in this town/Cause competition is stiff as ever now/ Take another hundred, and put it in her hand/Present the prize but not the ambulance") and says that she is fine the way she is ("She walks on red carpet all the time, in my eyes") and obviously does not agree that she has to do these things to be appealing.
