Dimension Lyrics

I fell down in the desert, baby
I had nothing but a piece of paper, yeah
I had to write something down
And I found myself alone
And then I let go of everything
Into another dimension

Lightning crash on the hill tonight (yeah)
I got a feeling everything's gonna be all right
Then a horse came running to me
Said we're gonna go to the sanctuary
Then a storm began to blow
Into another dimension

Purple haze is in the sky
See the angel's wicked eye
All these things we bow astride
Till we see the reasons why, oh yeah

I fell in the desert, baby, yeah
I had nothing but a piece of paper, why?
I had to write something down
But then I found myself alone
Then I let go of everything
Into another dimension

This is what I got from it.
(its kinda anti-drug IMO)

I fell down in the desert baby, yeah (teenage wasteland, nothing, how most teens feel.) I had nothing but a piece of paper, oh yeah, (Had nothing but his emotions and ability to turn it to a song) I had to write something down, (had to express him's self) And I found myself alone, then I let go of everything, (Realized no one would listen to the song, so he was pretty much said "fuck it") Into another dimension (away from reality)

Purple haze is in the sky, (pot) See the angels wicked eye (Hallucinogens /Angles Dust) all these things we must try (Self Explanatory) 'Till we see the reasons why, oh yeah (till you realize your just hiding your misery w. drugs and its pointless)

Lightning crash on the hill tonight,(yeah) (Speed) I got a feeling everything is gonna be alright (Euphoria) Then a horse came running to me (the High)

Said we're gonna go to the sanctuary (go to someplace to feel better, IE: club or hangout) Then a storm began to blow, (drug haze) Into another dimension. (Self Explanatory)

Purple haze is in the sky, (Same as before) See the angels wicked eye (Same as before) all these things we must try (Same as before) 'Till we see the reasons why, oh yeah (Same as before)

I got lost in the desert baby, yeah (reiteration, nostalgic) I found temples made out of paper, oh yeah (found hundreds of people just like him, who worshiped their songs of teenage angst) I had to write something down (felt emotional inspiration and wanted to write again) But then I found myself alone (realized he was still different from these people) Then I let go of everything (said "fuck it again") Into another dimension (went on another trip)

This is their best song!

This is about going on a journey, letting go and getting out on an adventure.

With a tip of the hat to Hendrix "purple haze is in the sky, it might also be a drug fuelled adventure

I thought this song was about being stoned...but strokesman has a good point...i thought all these songs where about being stoned or something

Allot of songs by Wolfmother make reference to the annual event of "Burning Man" at Burning Man.. www.burningman.com

The people who posted on this are all very correct, Burning Man is a annual event in the desert its a massive art gallery/dance floor/orgy/drug-fest and above all adventure...

"The Minds Eye" is a well-known icon, one of higher learning and experience... It fits with the B.M. experience...

I have no quotes or proof I'm right... its simply a running trend through out their album.

if you listen to Hendrix\'s All Along the Watchtower he says something about \"said the joker to the theif\" so I think that wolfmother got some inspiration from hendrix

this song is so sabbath its nuts. like joker and the thief there are obvious hendrix references too.

What is all this talk about, "I think this song may be about drugs?" or "I think it's a stoner song." HARRO!!! The damn song is called "Dimension"! Come on people. Purple hazes? Hmmm....

The whole damn album...no, the band is described as stoner or psychedelic rock.

Their music makes me wanna burn one...I don't know if that is a good thing or not...

I agree with strokesman on this one...but just so you know all along the watch tower was originally done by bob dylan
