I've always liked Anouk but only heard a few of her songs. Today, I heard a snippet of this on So You Think You Can Dance for a contestant's audition. Simply put - I love it.
I love this song. It is a story about loving someone that you can't have. You can hear the pain it causes when she sings. It is sad, but beautiful.
I Love this song and I agree that I feel it is a song about loving someone you can't have. You know it can't happen, but you really wish it could. You keep going back to that person but you feel lost and confused and you know that you have to walk away and when "the lights go down" you can find yourself there and that you are the only one who cant have that other someone

I feel like this song is about God or Jesus... I actually choreographed a dance to it with a picture frame as a prop and the picture in it was a sketch of Jesus I found online.
