winter winds blow from the north and i need wings. i sing from the pit of my stomach because it's all i can do. i can remember those warm summer days where i didn't have to feel all of this. nothing. everything. it was simple. something. all it is. i think i was happy washing clean the stains of time. breaking. the whole world. except your heart. what's been wrong all this time that i can't think?...i'm wondering... i shouldn't frown. you couldn't let me down. you couldn't fucking care less. an epiphany. a symphony of drowning emotions. a triumph that faults this condition. a rage that defies my disposition. at an age where i was ready for everything except for this.

Any way, I had no idea who Sisyphus was, so I looked into it. Apparently he is a king in Greek Mythology who was sentinced to carry a boulder up a hill only to watch it roll back down the hill. He was to repeat this act for eternity (it was his punishment). So a Sisyphus task is a meaningless, repetitive, and unrewarding task that serves no real purpose. What connections can be made with Sisyphus and the song? Its open to interpritation. I'd love to hear your thoughs about what this song means (not just how good this band is, we already know that's why we are looking up their lyrics!).

I believe it is about the meaning of life. As I once read about the singer (way back when...) who tried to commit suicide and all and I believe that the birth of his son, just proved that life might not be as meaningless as it might seem at first glance.
