BCE are the best. I have no idea what it means though ...
I think that someone close to him did something really harsh or nasty and he wants to hate them, probably someone he loves, cause he can't hate them and he's yearning for them to tell him it's all right that it was an accident and all. and he's sought for revenge and hates whats he's done "what has become of me?"
i think it's about the aftermath of a break up. the guy got burned and even though he probably still has feelings for the girl he makes himself hate her for what she's done to him and tries to ignore her and forget about her to prove that he she doesn't mean anything to him anymore and he can live without her even though it's killing him inside.

I agree i think this song is vampiric... I L.O.V.E VAMPIRES... and all these lyrics makes sense to vampires... "look around as the sun goes down" and i think some women seduced this dude and turned him into a vampire the first verse says it all...
