In the concentration camps, the Nazis made soap and lampshades out of Humans. Products and profits were valued more than life. Today the memory of the victims of this nightmare is desecrated and exploited by profitable holocaust museums and movies like Shindlers list. We get a "humanization" of the holocaust instead of the political explanation – nazism and fascism was a bourgeoisie construction to keep the working class in line when the capitalists class could no longer keep political power through democratic elections. Remember.

Although I do agree that the Holocaust is one of the commercially most over exploited events of history, I can't say that a political explanation is prefereble to a more "humanized" one. History shows that merciless killing has no political affiliations, nor is it bound to any specific region. In short, anyone, anywhere is a potential murderer. And to reduce nazism to a tool in the class struggle, like TJM does in their comment, is to paint the picture with too few colours since that explanation doesn't offer a reason for the killing of millions of jews who, at least most of them, where not part af the working class.
