This is what the band say about this song on their webpage:

This song is about growing up and feeling out of place in a small town. In small cities some people get too scared of change, and they make sure that nothing disturbs the silence and everyday routine - just so that they can control their fear of things from the outside. The song is also about the mentality that you sometimes meet in big cities, where people are so busy getting themselves seen in the crowd that they don’t give a shit about other people. Individualism to its very extent, and people show it when they vote as well. If the physical violence won’t get you, the structural will.
