YES YES. One guy who understands great music of Nobuo. No i mean theres millions and millions of people who love his music but i mean on this site. And by chance his name is one winged angel. Nobuo Uematsu is truely great mind.

On the chorus. I question the Latin here. My Latin is far from perfect, but..

Fit hos lux ec vicos vito set.

Fit and lux go together, hos and vicos, and the ec with either, despite how it's sung.

"Fit lux (ec)" is "(this one, that I was I just talking about) light is made."

"Vicos" is a village.

"Vito set" is "but I shun."

So.. "This light is made, but I shun this village." I've never played FF8, but it seems to me that this is about a peace or prosperity, liberation from evil, being brought.. but one city is not given the light. The city remains in the dark. Perhaps the city that the fated children are from? They must rise up and bring the light to the city?

Actually, Fithos Lusec Wecos Dinosec isn't latin at all. It is a clever scramble of words made to appear as latin.

Well, I don't know whether it's Latin or not, but the above idea seems pretty cool/plausible to moi. I got FF8 on Sunday - today is Tuesday - and the opening - avec this in the background - is absolutely stunning.

The best FF game by far, and best FF music.

one of his best but i think FF8 is one of the worst FF games. STILL KICKS ASS THOUGH! but im stuck on that F***ing sorceress at the beginning of disc 4 and its impossible! im trapped in that place and i can leave to go level up. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!!

If you look it up on Wikipedia, it implies that "fithos lusec wecos vinosec" means succession of witches. It also mentions that "Liberi Fatali" means fated children. Apparently, it was supposed to say "Liberi Fatales" though.
