She Really Wants You Lyrics
Sitting in your father's basement
Waiting for the phone to ring
Still in your pajamas, baby
She made up some excuse to see you
You said you didn't feel a thing
Tired of all the dramas, maybe
But still
The moment you hear
The moment you know
I'm sure you'd come running, baby
Sure
The moment you hear
That she really wants you
Packing up your old apartment
Sealing up another box
Wondering what made you choose her
And moving house when you're a stoner
Everything you come across
Makes you feel like such a loser
But still
The moment you hear
The moment you know
I'm sure you'd come running, baby
Sure
The moment you hear
That she really wants you
'Cause the stray that you found
That looked so cute at the pound
Now has you putting her down as rabid
If it was badder than bad
Well, then – you oughta be glad
You can break it like another habit
But still
The moment you hear
The moment you know
I'm sure you'd come running, baby
Sure
The moment you hear
That she really wants you
Oh, sure
The moment you hear
The moment you know
I'm sure you'd come running, baby
Sure
The moment you hear
That she really wants you
Waiting for the phone to ring
Still in your pajamas, baby
She made up some excuse to see you
You said you didn't feel a thing
Tired of all the dramas, maybe
The moment you hear
The moment you know
I'm sure you'd come running, baby
Sure
The moment you hear

The song is about the female lover's suspicion about her man's infidelity. The lover compares the "other woman" to another bad habit that he needs to kick.
The album tells a story about a couple, and the album comes complete with great illustrations beside each song's lyrics. It gets you involved in the album's story.
Not sure why but I love this song. Great melody, lyrics and vocals.
I think its about a guy who's a loser and who's dating someone who he thinks is beneath him. He talks bad about her and cheats on her. The truth however is just the opposite. The guy knows he's a loser and regrets cheating on the girl because he really can't do better than the girl.
The girl only wants him because she is immature and lacks self confidence. The guy knows all this deep down which is why he always "comes running."
Favourite song on The Forgotten Arm!
I think this song has a lot to do with being stuck in a bad relationship.
The guy doesn't want to be in the relationship, the girl might be a little crazy or erratic, and the relationship they have can't be any more than destructive. But -- it's something, and when you don't think you can do better or deserve better, you either stay with the drama or try quit it only to find yourself drawn back.
The song says "You can break it like another habit." The thing about habits is that they're easy to quit initially. But given time and a lack of a distraction or given a bad situation or incident and you can so easily find yourself back into the habit [this coming from someone with a few habits that need breaking!].
