I'm the addict on the corner
I'm the lawyer in the tower
I'm the body with the coroner
no the leader with all the power
you're the pillow - the cool side
the sand during high tide
the cocktail poolside
the water when clouds collide
from the inside out we were formed
and from the inside out we will fall
soon this all will come to an end
I'm a local but a foreigner
still the addict yet I'm sober
still the body with the coroner
many friends yet still a loner
you're the pillow - the cool side
the sand during high tide
the cocktail poolside
the water when clouds collide
from the inside out we were formed
and from the inside out we will fall
soon this all will come to an end
soon this all will come to an end
from the inside out we were formed
and from the inside out we will fall
soon this all will come to an end
soon this all will come to an end
I'm the lawyer in the tower
I'm the body with the coroner
no the leader with all the power
you're the pillow - the cool side
the sand during high tide
the cocktail poolside
the water when clouds collide
and from the inside out we will fall
soon this all will come to an end
still the addict yet I'm sober
still the body with the coroner
many friends yet still a loner
you're the pillow - the cool side
the sand during high tide
the cocktail poolside
the water when clouds collide
and from the inside out we will fall
soon this all will come to an end
soon this all will come to an end
and from the inside out we will fall
soon this all will come to an end
soon this all will come to an end

To me, it reminds me of all the human roles we play. The verses show this. And I guess I can say the chrous is stating that all of this.. in the end.. may mean nothing. "From the inside out we will fall." We created the world around us from the inside out. And we will destroy it that way, too. "Soon this all will come to an end." We're mass-marketing and overproducing our way to self-destruction.
Kind of a more radical way to look at the song, but that is just what I get out of it. And I have to say the chorus tears my eyes... the music and how it fuses with the words. So meaningful.
to me it's just kind of sayin that we are of the universe and nothing more.
Sangreal is another word for the Holy Grail. I think Dredg believes that equality is the Holy Grail in society.
what he says makes me think of him feeling like he's looking into this world from the outside and he can't relate to others because he feels so different from everyone else. although he can blend into the flow very well such as having many friends and etc, inside of him his feelings aren't going with the flow. he seems like a person who is sad and would rather face his sad reality of "from the inside out we will fall". to me his strong feelings of solitude have a lot to do with the difference in perception from his point of view and everyone elses. while he's realizing his sad reality everyone else is being chill (You're the pillow - the cool side The sand during high tide The cocktail poolside The water when clouds collide)
Wow. Amazing song, amazing lyrics. Traversing (http://www.traversing.net/home.htm) has a sweet interpretation.
this song is A-FREAKING-MAZING!
I think the first part is how kind of sinful or deathly or abandoned he feels sometimes. And the second part of the verses is how God makes him feel: completely refreshing and relieved. From the inside out we were formed. He gave us the ability to feel. But He also gave us free will to destroy ourselves, which will eventually happen.
How the FUCK is there not more comments on this masterpiece? Dredg is amazing.
everyone is the same .. status will never matter .
this is one of the best songs i've ever heard. the piano is just amazing.
we're all the same. the same dead body with the corner. we're all a piece of the society we live in and we destroy ourselves. maybe? i have no idea :)
