The Coast Is Always Changing Lyrics
I've met so many people who look the same,
Most were forgotten but you still remain,
Most of the time I don't care,
But London's so far away when you're there,
And so it saddens me to say,
I'm only happy when i move away
I am jung and I am lost,
Every sentence has its cost,
I am jung and I am lost,
You react to my riposte
We look out upon the sea,
The coast is always changing,
I'll bring my camera out to sea,
The coast is always changing
Age makes no difference till you open your mouth,
Use your time just to work things out,
I know that you can't understand,
When I tell you that this wasn't planned,
And so it saddens me to say,
I'm only happy when i move away
I am young and I am lost,
Every sentence has its cost,
I am young and I am lost,
You react to my riposte
We look out upon the sea,
The coast is always changing,
We'll take the train out to the sea,
My heart is always changing
It won't be long before you've gone,
I can't imagine leaving
We look out upon the sea,
The coast is always changing,
I'll bring my camera out to sea,
My heart is always changing,
We'll take the train out to the sea,
My pulse was always racing,
As we look out upon the sea,
The coast is always changing
And though it saddens me to say,
I'm still waiting for that day
Most were forgotten but you still remain,
Most of the time I don't care,
But London's so far away when you're there,
And so it saddens me to say,
I'm only happy when i move away
Every sentence has its cost,
I am jung and I am lost,
You react to my riposte
The coast is always changing,
I'll bring my camera out to sea,
The coast is always changing
Use your time just to work things out,
I know that you can't understand,
When I tell you that this wasn't planned,
And so it saddens me to say,
I'm only happy when i move away
Every sentence has its cost,
I am young and I am lost,
You react to my riposte
The coast is always changing,
We'll take the train out to the sea,
My heart is always changing
I can't imagine leaving
The coast is always changing,
I'll bring my camera out to sea,
My heart is always changing,
We'll take the train out to the sea,
My pulse was always racing,
As we look out upon the sea,
The coast is always changing
I'm still waiting for that day

Its about the effect of time. Evrything is constantly changing and so the good times we have as youngsters is brief and should be appretiated.
"I am young and I am lost"
Its a snap shot in our lifetime. I think it encourages us to enjoy life.
"I'll bring my camera out to sea"

this song is such a mint song, it reminds me of my childhood. going from place to place whilst everything around changes.
I've never heard this song but I like the lyrics!
you're in for a treat when you do! was the first song I really got into by them. this and gone missing.

I've met so many people who look the same, Most were forgotten but you still remain,
We look out upon the sea, The coast is always changing, I'll bring my camera out to sea, My heart is always changing, My pulse was always racing, As we look out upon the sea,
Age makes no difference till you open your mouth
It won't be long before you've gone, I can't imagine leaving
as you can tell im loving this band at the mo
And so it saddens me to say, I'm only happy when i move away
Don't you think its 'I am YOUNG'. Would make much more sense wouldnt it???
I saw this band last month for my birthday when they were on tour with Kaiser Chiefs and they seem like great fun. They also seem like their Geordie rivals.;)
Anyway, when I saw them, the frontman said that this song was about travelling to the East coast.
i agree that it should be "i am young" (whoever wrote the lyrics down put "young" the second time they wrote the chorus), and i also thought it was "you react to my repast"; is "riposte" even a word?
this album is awesome!!!!
this song is probably the best on it
it paints a picture of a childhood spent on the english coast, maybe as a gypsy or with some kind of itinerant parent
