I Was So Alone Lyrics
Don’t just, don't sit down
I’m wanting this to be a super natural flood of life
And not just make-believe
Singing about what's real to me, gasping for air,
Trying to breathe while being put down by me
While thinking oh so hard to just stay alive
Treading over time while I’m slowly dying
I take one last breath and one last prayer
To survive the waves, they break me
The air hits my face; my unthinking prayer
This new found grace I swallowed the air
Quick to erase; it's such a beautiful day
I was so alone; I was to myself
Thought I was on my way, but I was missing you
So make it up, break it up
Take this wherever you want
And I wanna go
So just stay this way on this train
Which I roll
I was so alone; I was to myself
Thought I was on my way, but I was missing you
So make it up, break it up
Take this wherever you want
And I wanna go
I’m wanting this to be a super natural flood of life
And not just make-believe
Singing about what's real to me, gasping for air,
Trying to breathe while being put down by me
Treading over time while I’m slowly dying
I take one last breath and one last prayer
To survive the waves, they break me
The air hits my face; my unthinking prayer
This new found grace I swallowed the air
Quick to erase; it's such a beautiful day
Thought I was on my way, but I was missing you
So make it up, break it up
Take this wherever you want
And I wanna go
So just stay this way on this train
Which I roll
Thought I was on my way, but I was missing you
So make it up, break it up
Take this wherever you want
And I wanna go

I can't believe no one has posted about this song yet.. hmm.. well i am not sure what this song means, rockin song though! "Thought I was on my way, but i was missing you" Maybe it's about moving on but realizing you can't yet because there is still some unfinished business.
since bryce is mainly a christian writer, this song is probably about once again finding some sort of faith, or even dying and realizing his faith in god was stronger than anything else.
Another song about Bryce and his faith in God...
Blaaaa, sometimes I'd really prefer them to have a different... inspiration?

energeticcccc
I love the piano in this song so much.
Isn't it "Quick to AWAKE, it's such a beautiful day"
i really love this song. whether its about religion/people/whatevs, i like. verrrrry energetic.
I see this song as Bryce finding God. What I love about it the most, though, is that Bryce totally stomps all over the rather depressing-sounding title and makes this song incredibly upbeat and energizing. It really personifies how much better his life is now.
It's about his journey with God. It's about the mistakes we make that we think will take us closer to God, but we're actually moving farther from him. The mistake he made is trying to force his life to go a certain way when we have to know that God is in control like, in "Take this wherever you want".
