Passion Lyrics
Every word that falls from my lips falls on deaf ears and I suffocate
Now righteousness cast aside, thrown to the ground
I close my eyes and I see you there
See you there
But my eyes deceive me; every other sense says I'm alone
Now waking hours melt to sleepless nights and all fear has left me
If I could learn from my past
I'd possess the strength to turn away, let your sweet taste fall from my lips
But it resonates
And now I hold this so dear, to let it fade would tear me apart
If I now left this all behind, simply turned and walked away
Would the dawns light fall upon my face to end this tragedy?
Still deep in the long black, behind the shimmering blue
I'd swear that I have seen the last soul that I care to
So this is passion and it crawls upon my skin
And it sinks into my bones and I am whole again
And I feel it filling me and I pray it will never end
Now it burns with fire in my veins
And I am writing in ecstasy
Now righteousness cast aside, thrown to the ground
I close my eyes and I see you there
See you there
But my eyes deceive me; every other sense says I'm alone
Now waking hours melt to sleepless nights and all fear has left me
If I could learn from my past
I'd possess the strength to turn away, let your sweet taste fall from my lips
But it resonates
Would the dawns light fall upon my face to end this tragedy?
Still deep in the long black, behind the shimmering blue
I'd swear that I have seen the last soul that I care to
And it sinks into my bones and I am whole again
Now it burns with fire in my veins
And I am writing in ecstasy

"Every word that falls from my lips falls on deaf ears and I suffocate Now righteousness cast aside, thrown to the ground"
I think that means look at what has happened to this world and how my words do nothing
"Now waking hours melt to sleepless nights and all fear has left me"
Now all fear has left
"I'd possess the strength to turn away, let your sweet taste fall from my lips But it resonates"
Now my message has been heard
"If I now left this all behind, simply turned and walked away Would the dawns light fall upon my face to end this tragedy? Still deep in the long black, behind the shimmering blue I'd swear that I have seen the last soul that I care to"
If I left the world what would happen? Would the world change from the souls not hearing me.
"So this is passion and it crawls upon my skin And it sinks into my bones and I am whole again"
If I didn't do what I do, i would be lost and I would have no meaning
"And I feel it filling me and I pray it will never end Now it burns with fire in my veins And I am writing in ecstasy"
I don't know what i have done and it wont help, but this is my passion and I wouldn't stop for anything.
When he says "writing in ecstasy" I think he means i write what i see that is the world.
I think this song is about Phil's (vocalist) love of music, its his passion and he wouldn't stop for the world. This doesn't surprise me because I was attracted to this band because I got a strange sence of passion from this band.
LOVE THIS SONG, GUITARS ESPECIALLY!
this song is kinds like the anti emo. it is about being walking away like a man instead of acting like and emo bitch
lol funny guy ^
lol i like krazylarry's response. The lyrics in this song are really deep
this tune is amazing, it is about his passion for something and someone that is holding him back, if he lets this thing/person go he will die inside but if he carries on holding onto his passion it could kill him
I think this is about the passion for music, more specifically the passion in metal and his love for it.
the guitar work is amazing in this song.
I think its about realizing, after a life of feeling so alone and like nothing, that you are have found someone that completes you. And it's about the need for them, the fear of losing them
I'm pretty sure it's "writhing in ecstasy" not "writing". Awesome song though.
