A Hole In The Plane Lyrics

there’s a hole in the plane
sucking people out
i’m running and falling down
trying to avoid the inevitable
the pilots are sitting so comfortably in the cabins
i’m watching
people get sucked out into the open sky

i’m holding on but not screaming
not sure why but i know there’s something
waiting for me on the other side
i’m holding on but not screaming
not sure why but i know there’s something
waiting for me on the other side

the ground was below
opening and closing right next to my feet
we called each other closely and knew
something that made our stomachs feel complete

i’m holding on but not screaming
not sure why but i know there’s something
waiting for me on the other side
i’m holding on but not screaming
not sure why but i know there’s something
waiting for me on the other side

the evil plants jumped at
my feet with big sharp teeth
they cut my toes
it hurt and i climbed
up and up the wall built to keep
us in kept us next to the plants
slowly clipping away
at our
skin

I really like this song. I think the meaning is fairly clear.... except for the last verse, I'm not exactly sure how it ties into the rest of the song. But basically what I get out of it is that he's not afraid to die because he knows death is not the end.

hm. i think the last verse means that he died and realizes that its just as bad as living, perhaps.

Maybe the last paragraph has something to do with how he thought he was okay with death, but then when he felt death approaching, he tried everything he could do to live.

I thought that might be the case because he talks about how the ground was out there right below his feet and then he talks about the plants nipping at his toes. It's probably not right, but it's a thought.

it's about accepting death, then the end part is not significant, it's just describing his death
