Hallucinating Elvis

Ok, Simon has been told by many people both in his past & presnt that he looks too much like Elvis "The Pelvis" Presley. This is his frustrations coming out in this song. It's obvious that He does Not want to be compared to the Fat Elvis, (I've read a few articles where Simon is very sensitive about this.) but, I still think that Not everyone compares Simon to the Fat, Bloated Elvis, I Know I don't....& I actually think Simon looks more like Elvis during his younger years when he was just starting out. Please, for Simon sake, If you ever do get the chance to actually Meet Simon Le Bon in person, & say you mentionjust how much he looks like Elvis, Please make sure to tell him that he looks like the Younger Elvis that we all see on TV, & that Simon does Not look like Elvis before he died! Thankyou! :D

The song was inspired by Simon and a suit he wore for the Perfect Day video. The suit was made out of a very thick (and practically inflexible) material, which made Mr Le Bon walk/move in a rather exaggerated manner - kind of like Elvis' trademark dancing style.

According to legend, Simon was heard to exclaim, "hey man, I'm hallucinatin' Elvis", and a song title was born, The song was written by Nick and Warren at a time when Simon was in the midst of his phase of havin complete writer's block.
