Rewind Lyrics
It's your time
It's your day
It's never too late
To change lanes
How's your life?
How's your place?
Was it where you wanted
Your head to lay?
But wait, you can breathe
You can see what I can see
Don't waste your time
You can't make back
If you could rewind your time
Would you change your life?
Do you like you?
Do you love your wife?
Or did you pick what
You're told was right?
Dream and be
What you feel
Don't you compromise
What you wanna be
'Cause change is okay
What's the point in staying the same
Regrets, forget what's dead and gone
If you could rewind your time
Would you change your life?
If Jesus rode in on a camel today
With your cross on his shoulder
Time to take you away
Have you done all you wanted?
Are you happy and warm?
Do you miss someone special
You don't see anymore?
Have you blood on your hands?
Do you dream of white sands?
Can you sleep well at night?
Have you done all you can?
The place I was born in
Stays crooked and straight
I see innocent blue eyes
Go blind everyday
Rewind your time
Would you change your life
It's your day
It's never too late
To change lanes
How's your life?
How's your place?
Was it where you wanted
Your head to lay?
You can see what I can see
Don't waste your time
You can't make back
Would you change your life?
Do you love your wife?
Or did you pick what
You're told was right?
What you feel
Don't you compromise
What you wanna be
What's the point in staying the same
Regrets, forget what's dead and gone
Would you change your life?
With your cross on his shoulder
Time to take you away
Have you done all you wanted?
Are you happy and warm?
Do you miss someone special
You don't see anymore?
Have you blood on your hands?
Do you dream of white sands?
Can you sleep well at night?
Have you done all you can?
The place I was born in
Stays crooked and straight
I see innocent blue eyes
Go blind everyday
Would you change your life

Wow. finallyfree I could have wrote that. In fact I wrote a similar post on this is your life...
Basically this song is saying as long as you are still alive you can pick whatever direction you want to head in next, "But wait, you can breathe... It's your time It's your day It's never too late To change lanes" you may not be able to change the past but you have some control over the future. Do what YOU want not what you think will make others happy. And like Badgermilk06 said start living so that if someone asks you if you could change your life you could tell them no and truly mean it, do what you have always wanted and don't regret, and most importantly start now! If your not happy with a situation or yourself do something about it.
My favorite part:
'Cause change is okay What's the point in staying the same Regrets, forget what's dead and gone
It took me a full 19 years to learn that. I'm so glad it didn't take me longer because if it had that would have just been more time wasted...
This is one of my inspiration songs and probably one of my favorite songs ever because of how it helped me!
if you could chang your life would you? how different would you make it?
Hehe man oh man does the future scare me. I'm only 15 and i'm already thinking if I've made the most outta life so far. this albums pretty good, seeing as i haven't heard of them(not until dakota)
I think the beauty of life is that there is no possibility of changing the past...... luv this song!
This song has a great impact to it
The reflection and redemption aspects of this song really play on your conscience. Of course the music and lyrics just complement each other perfectly.
Quite possibly the best Stereophonics song they've written. Poignant and unambiguous, the melody goes with the lyrics so well, typical of many 'phonics songs. The meaning is pretty self-explanatory, but I've noticed that a number of songs that Kelly has written since JEEP is about regrets. Something that has happened to him that he may want to change? Could anyone elaborate or dismiss this?
This song, to me, comes at a point in my life where I'm meeting new people and having to make major descisions about my future (long term relationship, career etc). Looking back, I probably wouldnt change anything. I feel that everything thats happened has happened for a reason; every situation that could have gone wrong has eventually worked out for me and I'm in a financially comfortable position and studying at University. I suppose I'm fortunate in that respect.
this song changed my whole perception of life.
if you like this, try "this is your life" by switchfoot - theyve pretty much got the same meaning & are both life changing.
just live...
Wow it's great. One of the Best songs off Language Sex Violence Other. Makes up for the horribleness of Doorman, Brother and Girl.
I think it's about not having any regrets and just living life the way you want, the best way you know how. Live it so that if someone ever asks you, "If you could rewind your time Would you change your life," you could honestly tell them no.
