Brother Lyrics
Won't you take your words brother?
Won't you mind your world brother?
I find you so offensive punk
Won't you take my word brother?
I tell you no lies now leave me brother
You disturb me turn me hurt me sister
You walk right up to me
Abuse me on the street
Like a cannonball killing me
You got it wrong brother can't you see?
Can't you see?
Won't you walk on home brother?
Won't you live and learn brother?
Think you're a poet? A know it? At your lowest?
Have you lost it? Did you toss it? Double crosses it?
Are you a loser? No one to choose ya? Accuser?
You walk right up to me
Abuse me on the street
Like a cannonball killing me
You got it wrong brother can't you see?
Can't you see?
Don't you push me brother!
Don't you push me brother!
Don't you push me brother!
Don't you push me brother!
You walk right up to me
Abuse me on the street
Like a cannonball killing me
You got it wrong brother can't you see?

I think this is about how people treat each others like shit even though in the end, were all just human and conected, hence Brother. The Dont you Push Me Brother part is the bit before the retaliation, showing the hypocricy of it all.
Not sure I said what I was trieng to properly there but I hope you get the idea.
Probably my least favourite song on Language Sex Violence Other. It's too heavy for me.
I reckon the song 'Doorman' is about when Kelly was ejected after performing at an awards ceremony (see my post on that song). Consequently I wonder if 'Brother' is inspired by the bloke who started laying into him whilst that was happening
It's about a guy who came up to Kelly one day in the street and started shouting at him and going mad because, the guy thought Kelly was showing his girlfriend (Kelly's girlfriend) no respect. Kelly was walking with his girlfriend, holding her hand, while wearing dark sunglasses and talking on his mobile phone!
