Li'l Red Riding Hood Lyrics

Owoooooooo!
Who's that I see walkin' in these woods?
Why, it's Little Red Riding Hood.
Hey there Little Red Riding Hood,
You sure are looking good.
You're everything a big bad wolf could want.
Listen to me.

Little Red Riding Hood
I don't think little big girls should
Go walking in these spooky old woods alone.
Owoooooooo!

What big eyes you have,
The kind of eyes that drive wolves mad.
So just to see that you don't get chased
I think I ought to walk with you for a ways.

What full lips you have.
They're sure to lure someone bad.
So until you get to grandma's place
I think you ought to walk with me and be safe.

I'm gonna keep my sheep suit on
Until I'm sure that you've been shown
That I can be trusted walking with you alone.
Owoooooooo!

Little Red Riding Hood
I'd like to hold you if I could
But you might think I'm a big bad wolf so I won't.
Owoooooooo!

What a big heart I have-the better to love you with.
Little Red Riding Hood
Even bad wolves can be good.
I'll try to be satisfied just to walk close by your side.
Maybe you'll see things my way before we get to grandma's place.

Little Red Riding Hood
You sure are looking good
You're everything that a big bad wolf could want.
Owoooooooo! I mean baaaaaa! Baaa?

Does anybody even know about this song? I know that it's from the 60's but still.....it's a great song that can get stuck in your head. To me, the song is about the big bad wolf up to his trick of trying to get little red riding hood to trust him. The only thing is, since he's saying the facial features that attract guys-lips and eyes- it's about the wolf following little red rding hood to do bad to her

A man wanting to keep a relationship on a strictly friends level despite feelings of lust towards said friend.

just one of my many theories....

What I got from the song was that Wolf loved Riding Hood, and wanted to disguise himself to get closer to her, so he wouldn't scare her away and ruining any chances he could have had. So he walks with her around, to protect her from the others she could attract, helping both of them.

I think in the end, he will only give into his murderous instincts and kill her. Thus ruining himself for good.

It's about an man who wants to take a girl out; he has sex and a wild time in mind, but he doesn't want the to know. He wants her to think he is a gentleman. He know that at some point intheir relationship, he will have to show her the real him. That is if he wants to get to third base.

I think its about a girl and a male friend who has romantic feelings for her is trying to protect her from the big bad wolf in the woods. I'd like to think that that's what this song is about, but there is one thing that throws that theory off. its the line that says 'I'm gonna keep my sheep suit on'.

@yellowhedgehog That line means that HE'S the wolf he's speaking of

man that guy had some beard

In short, it's about a guy who is poor/blue collar/ethnic (... think 'greaser'); who happens to desire a nice white girl. Middle class society thinks he's a bad wolf, even though he has a "big heart" and is trustworthy. This sexually attractive girl is walking in a rougher part of town and he wants to protect from other guys ("someone bad"). He's a good guy who just wants a chance with her ("even bad wolves can be good"). He tries to act as well-mannered, sophisticated, religious as possible ("the sheep suit"). But in the end, because of societal prejudice, he'll have to be satisfied with this brief moment walking with her.
