Last Day On Earth Lyrics
Mesmerised
You get sucked in by the hype
Headlights in your eyes.
Flame burns fast
Then your soul goes up in smoke
Where’s your faith in life?
Now what would you do
If there was no tomorrow?
And where would you go
If you knew this was your last day on Earth?
Having the time of your life
But you don't realise
Play to win
So you got to roll the dice
It’s a vicious game.
One false move
That’s how fortunes change
And you're going down.
Now what would you do
If there was no tomorrow?
And where would you go
If you knew this was your last day on Earth?
This is the time of your life
You don't realise
Now what would you do
If you knew this was your last day on Earth?
I'd kiss you goodbye...
Last chance, living, taking, giving, having
(Your last day on earth)
Losing, needing, loving, waking
(Your last day on earth)
Standing, hoping, dreaming, smiling
(Your last day on earth)
Laughing, feeling, crying, wanting
(Your last day on earth)
Something, touching, living…
Your last day on Earth
You get sucked in by the hype
Headlights in your eyes.
Flame burns fast
Then your soul goes up in smoke
Where’s your faith in life?
If there was no tomorrow?
And where would you go
If you knew this was your last day on Earth?
But you don't realise
So you got to roll the dice
It’s a vicious game.
One false move
That’s how fortunes change
And you're going down.
If there was no tomorrow?
And where would you go
If you knew this was your last day on Earth?
You don't realise
If you knew this was your last day on Earth?
(Your last day on earth)
Losing, needing, loving, waking
(Your last day on earth)
Standing, hoping, dreaming, smiling
(Your last day on earth)
Laughing, feeling, crying, wanting
(Your last day on earth)
Something, touching, living…

Duran Duran guitarist Warren Cuccurullo and synth master Nick Rhodes wrote and recorded a song called "Tomorrow Never Dies", with vocalist Tessa Niles for the James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies". The song wasn't chosen, so Duran Duran re-recorded it for their 2000 album "Pop Trash". The song was given new lyrics and the title of the song was changed to "Last Day on Earth". The great thing is that it still sound very "Bond". Along with probably being the only genuine 100% hard rock song in the entire Duran Duran catalogue!
