Radical Adults Lick Godhead Style Lyrics
Send the moon thru the skylight
Bells together outrageously
Noiseball, flirtatious example
Bless her soul to further degree
Theatre goddess, film destroyer
New York girls are sure to enjoy her
Fuzzy peach, teenage computer
A shocking figure in the eye of the universe
I am dead by the beauty of strangers
In horror my eye-head transforms them
Into smiling beautific roommates
From dust to dust they create rock and roll
Here comes something: you are Lou Reed
Transformer cracked by the backyard stream
Killer tunes, bubblegum disaster
Radical adults lick godhead style
Bells together outrageously
Noiseball, flirtatious example
Bless her soul to further degree
Theatre goddess, film destroyer
New York girls are sure to enjoy her
Fuzzy peach, teenage computer
A shocking figure in the eye of the universe
In horror my eye-head transforms them
Into smiling beautific roommates
From dust to dust they create rock and roll

Godhead can mean idol, this is a poem by Thurston Moore about a musical idol(Kim gordon) turned into an awesome SY song!
The absolute best song on "Murray Street," and one of the best recent SY songs, as well.
I can't believe there aren't more posts here...TreeSap said it, this song is pretty awesome. I love when everything kicks in: Thurston's lyrics are perfection, Kim's whisper adds a creepy wisp, the bass is badass, drums create a careful pace, and the SWIRLING GUITAR is incredible! I feel like a million bucks when i hear this song... The whole album is incredible...my favorite since Daydream Nation.

yeah this song certainly rocks, my most played SY song on itunes.
no idea what it's about of course since it's an SY song but i love the lyrics, very stylised and quotable. the lou reed reference is cool too, transformer is a good album.
the outro is brilliant, the 3 guitars working together are great, especially jim's screeching guitar that adds to the chaos (anyone know how to make that noise on a guitar...?)
There are saxophones at the end of the song that make the noise i guess you're talking about, which merges pretty well with the guitars.

Thurston once said in an interview that this song was about the fact that the people that make radical music nowadays are the same people who made radical music more than 25 years ago (Neil Young, Sonic Youth, Yoko Ono).
