Ill Advised Lyrics

To what do I owe this occasion?
My life is fallin' out of reason
To what do I owe this occasion?
My life is fallin' out of reason

So. Break. My. Stare.
Oh how your faces light up this day

Well my friends, gather round
It seems my mind, is not so sound
Oh how your faces light up this day

'Cause I am Ill Advised to feel
That the inner lives are real
And Ill Advised to call upon the hour of this day
And I’m sanitized and still, movin for the kill
I’m Ill Advised to call upon the hour of one day

I, I, I x4

Oh how your faces light up this day
And this hour, and on this ground

'Cause I am Ill Advised to feel
That the inner lives are real
And Ill Advised to call upon the hour of this day
And I’m sanitized and still, movin for the kill
I’m Ill Advised to call upon the hour of one day

To what do I owe this occasion?
My life is fallin' out of reason

I’ve not sold my innocence; I’m not so right like them
I’ve not sold my innocence; I’m not so right like them
I’ve not sold my innocence; I’m not so right like them, right like them
Not on this hour, or on this ground

This is quite the tricky one. I really don't have any ideas yet. Good song, though. I love State Radio.

Most of State Radio's song have to do with government and war and things like that. If I'd have to guess, I would say it would be about a ground soldier killing enemy soldiers in a war. I almost feel like it also portrays one feeling revenge. It's hard to explain, but its only my opinion on the song.

Also, sanitized can mean sterile, which a huge percentage of our military is because of our heavy use of depleted uranium in our ammunition and armor.

This song is about someone in a mental institution, and deals with the increasing use of psychosomatic drugs. His grasp between what is real and what is not is fading, and he is distraught that this is happening, since he knows it ("I'm not so, all my insides, I'm not so right like them").

The person also says how those whose faces he loves and recognizes are the only thing that "light up this day" and make him feel slightly sane.

It's similar to State Inspector, except it deals, in contrast, with mental institutions' ill treatment...
