Pull Up To The Bumper Lyrics
Driving down those city streets,
Waiting to get down,
Won't you take your big machine,
Somewhere in this town?
Now in the parking lot garage,
I found a proper place,
Just follow all the written rules,
You'll fit into the space.
Pull up to my bumper baby,
In your long black limosine,
Pull up to my bumper baby,
And drive it in between.
Pull up, to it, don't drive, through it,
Back it, up twice, now that, fit's nice.
Operate around the clock,
Slow it if you come in?
I've got lot's of space for everyone,
One for you my friend?
My Lines are short I'll fix you up
so won't you please come on,
Shiny sleek machine you wheled,
It I've got to blow your horn.
Pull up to my bumper baby,
In your long black limosine,
Pull up to my bumper baby,
And drive it in between.
Pull up to it, don't drive through it,
Back it, up twice, now that fits nice,
Race it, straighten it, let me luricate,
Pull up to my bumper baby. (to end)

It's got nothing to do with buggery you perverts. It's an autobiographical account of the time when Grace worked as a car parking steward at Wolverhampton racecourse
@mycheezyhelm Rubbish, it's about the love our Lord Jesus Christ for parking limousines. Hallelujah. Oh, and in Dudley, not Wolves.

i dunno what this song is about but my god is it sexy
Yes, the subject matter seems pretty obvious.
The bass/synth combo on this is genius. I could listen to this on repeat all day and not get tired of it.
Grace Jones is way too underrated. Songs like this, 'Warm Leatherette,' her cover of 'La Vie en Rose,' 'Walking in the Rain,' 'Private Life'—she and David Byrne are the parents of New Wave.
Don't know why she's not as recognised as she rightfully should be.
c'om on you dont need to be a rocket scientist to work out what this funktastic tune is about. a sexually explicit song from dearest gracie about rear entry sex, fellatio and using cocaine to enhance the pleasure. many years ago now when this song was considered realy cool! me and a-kinda girlfriend i had always ended ou in bed with this song booming from stereo SMOKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Andrei069 nails it, but I would be more specific: it's about anal sex (not just any rear entry). Driving it in between...pulling up to it, but not through it...

I don't write 'em. I just interpret 'em.

Why do you say "it's not about buggery" - mycheezyhelm..? As an expert in Buggery, I think the reference is heavily implied, and with a posterior as fit as Grace's, far more likely than not..
Obviously it is about sex, but Grace did say in an interview (2008, Q Magazine) that it's not specifically about anal sex, although it can be if you want it to be.
" [She] was asked about the meaning behind her top 20 hit which includes the line “grease it/spray it/let me lubricate it” which is widely thought to be all about anal sex. But Jones, aged 60, laughed off the idea. “I don’t think it’s necessarily about that. I think it means whatever you want it to. Because I kind of like the doggy position myself, but that doesn’t mean it’s going up me arse.”
@OldBat If Grace thinks we think it is anything other than anal ('pull up to the BUMper'), she must be crackers.

I heard this song for the first time a few days ago, in the Teaser/Trailer for Season 3 of "The Deuce." It fits PERFECTLY. The Deuce is the Greatest HBO show that most of you aren't watching. It stars James Franco, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Margaret Leviva and others. It's about prostitution and pornography in Times Square from the 1970s to mid 1980s. Each season jumps seven years. There is a lot of Gay Pride stuff, and, AIDS will be raging in the final season. Maggie is AMAZING! Watch it for her alone. After the first season, I obsessively saw all of her major films (I had only ever seen her in "Crazy Heart" prior to that.) She is doing a movie with Ralph Fiennes about Frank Lloyd Wright and I will see it the day it comes out. I don't get HBO-I'm too cheap. So-how do I watch?? Hint: Arrggghh!!
i love this song but that has got to be one of the worst sex metaphors ever!
