A song to reassure Jospehine you love her so much she'd still be special if you had power and success. I like the cute little anachronisms at the start. The lyrics are so pretty, and the instruments give me asmr, feels like someone running their fingers through my hair.

It would be easy for this song to go unoticed on a such an amazing album as the wayward bus/distant plastic trees, but for me it really stands out. This gem is so quiet and subdued, and still it beautifully conveys a feeling of controlled hope and longing. Perfection...

I'm really surprised this hasn't gotten more comments. I love this song so much. I see it as wanting to be something different so the person you love will be with you (I'd even suggest that this 'character' just wants to be male or renown). It's about making up an imaginary world ('science fiction') where their love could be possible. It's sung so beautifully.
