Like a Call Lyrics
all the cars down the bottom, windmill chasing, calling police so, so we’re placing weight on minds. ‘88 red sports car NW dated, counting the sleeps I’m counting, waiting, stalled inside. there’s no tyres to save our skins, they’re bald and old, their advice won’t change our plans through an old telescope for close up faces you’re cornering the fire it works in your favour, televised like the all night long at 3’o feeling you get in your legs when you’re dancing on the ceiling, friends of mine. And you change the beat disguised like a call to realise. you just made a pass in that
reflection, you’re fixing your hair or asking questions, you decide turn it around, the place is a fountain youth you’re squealing, offering advice that
sounds appealing, nervous fun ‘cept the cheating’s in your blood and the hardest word is love. Let’s not starve here today, none that behaviour, eating like a princess I’m gonna save you, stay at mine And we’re carving up the courses we’re not playing don’t want to
hear the swearwords you’re spraying undermined. I’m not revealing unless your feelings are long term.

This is easily my favorite song ever. I listen to it at least five times a day and i have for over a year and i still love it.
im not too sure about the lyrics but from the part about lets not starve and eating like a princess and all of the pars about bald and old and fountain youth i think its abot a self conscious woman and a man telling her shes fine.
Yeah this song is amazing. The whole A.I.H Finger's Crossed album is mindblowing! this is the first time i've seen the lyircs and on first glance it seems like it's about focusing on love and the truth in a selfish and fake world. am quite possibly wrong tho.
ok i met cameron bird at one of their shows and i asked him what this songs about and he said it was about the two weeks before he first came to america and what was going through his mind at that time.
I reckon this is quite easily the best song AIH have released :D
i love this song
so. freaking. amazing.
this CD is one of the best in my collection.
just amazing.
I'm loving the remix.
Ok, so. After rereading the lyrics a couple times, I've come to the conclusion that this involves a car chase, or at least the writer is being chase by police while driving a "'88 red sports car"
The whole first half of the song has many references, worn tires calling police old telescope? (I picture a helicopter camera) Cramped legs Passing in that reflection?
I dunno, its just a thought. Feedback anyone?
Also I have no idea what that would have to do with the last few lines of the song.
Maybe I'm just crazy
when i first heard this, i thought, "ooohhh, i love this song! yay!"
